Tutorial on X-Ray Goggles

In this blog post I will be going over how to use a neat tool called X-Ray Goggles. They allow you to edit the html and websites and edit the content to whatever you want and you can save your edited html to a local version.

  1. You will need to download the browser Firefox because it is an extension through the browser.
  2. Download X-Ray Goggles here. Follow the instructions on this page and you should have the X-Ray Goggles once you are done.
  3. Then go to a website you would like to edit. And click on the X-Ray Goggles. Your screen should look like the below image.
  4. For example click on the “Google” image.
  5. Now you can edit the html. In the picture below I edited one of the buttons to say “Hi There”.
  6. Now you can click publish or take a screenshot of your new page.

I hope everyone enjoyed this tutorial. Happy editing.

Week 11

Here is the list of blog posts and daily creates I did this week. I think video assignments are my favorite assignments we have done so far. I really enjoyed this week.

New Mission

Canva Overview

Sending Money via Phone Number

Daily Creates:

Sending Money via Phone Number

The video below explains how to send money to another Bank of America account. My inspiration for this video is mainly because I am tired of waiting 2 days for my mom to transfer money from her account to my bank account, but she won’t take the time to learn how to send money based on someone’s cell phone number. So I created this tutorial for her to learn how to do this. I am finding making tutorials is a lot of fun. I enjoy helping others.

This assignment was worth 4 and a half stars.

In this post I showing a video of me programming/coding. This is what I do for work and what I spend most my time doing. The inspiration for this video came from the fact that I love coding and it shows a typical day of my work life.

This assignment was worth 4 stars.

New Mission

A new mission I think we should embark on is researching the life of a true spy.  Basically research the life of one spy and blog about their life. Investigate the type of life they lived and how they keep their identity a secret. You can blog about different missions that they went on or the type of spying they were engaged in. You can also talk about the time period during which they were active spies.

Canva Overview

In this blog I am talking about the Canva tutorial video I created. My inspiration for this tutorial was mainly learning how to record your computer screen. I have always seen people record tutorials on their computer screen but I never tried it myself. So I decided to give it a shot, and I think it turned out pretty well.

I used the Any Video Converter Ultimate tool to record this video. It is software for macOS. Recording your computer screen was not very difficult. Enjoy.

Here is a screenshot of my editing tool which is iMovie.

This assignment was worth 4 and half stars.

Week 10 it is almost the end.

This was an exciting but challenging week because we had to learn video editing. I am glad I learned how to edit videos as it will be useful in the future. I look forward to week 11.

Product Review

In this video I review the new Macbook Pro. I recommend it to anyone looking for a new laptop. It cannot be beaten. You can check it out in the video below.

I never really think about things I use on a daily basis and if I generally like them. So this was a fun assignment to think about some of those things and of course I love the new Macbook Pro.

This assignment was worth 3 stars.

My Favorite Thing To Do

In this assignment I talk about one of my favorite hobbies which is reading. I enjoyed making this video or vlog because I have never made a video like this before. I love how ds106 introduces me to so many new things and enhances my creative skills. I am going to let the video do the rest of the talking.

This assignment can be found here.

This assignment was worth 4 stars.

Sixteen Year Old Me

This is a video of myself telling the 16 year old me some life lessons and tips.

This was a cool assignment because I was able to think about what I wish I had known when I was 16. I was able to think about some of the mistakes I have made and how they could have been avoided. It is important to think about past mistakes and learn from them, but then move on. In the video I talk a little bit about saving money and choosing a career path.

Here is the link to the assignment.

It was worth 4 and half stars.
